The Decentralized Directions of Culture (DDC) of 17 regions of the country join this celebration on the World Theatre Day, for what they have programed a series of artistic activities with the objective of celebrating performing arts and broaden the access to spaces for dissemination of new cultural proposals.
The DDC of the Ministry of Culture are going to carry out activities such as passacaglias, stagings,expositions, workshops and theatre festivals in regions of Ancash, Ayacucho, Cajamarca, Callao, Huancavelica, Huanuco, Junin, La Libertad, Lambayeque, Loreto, Madre de Dios, Pasco, Piura, Puno, San Martin, Tacna and Ucayali.
There are 50 cultural activities to be in charge of local theatre groups, cultural associations, art schools and municipalities. Also, Puntos de Cultura have been summoned nationally.
With this inclusive, varied and decentralized celebration, the Ministry of Culture seeks to recognize theatre as one of the artistic expressions that better promotes participation, dialogue and creativity as fundamental principles of the society as well as disseminate performing activities fomenting spaces of diffusion, valuation and enjoyment of our cultural and artistic diversity.
